Sponsored Editions
Sponsoring an edition involves covering the cost involved in getting the photographs. So if for example you wanted to have an edition produced based on a particular overseas resort or attraction, the cost would be the cost of travel, accommodation and time of one of us to go and take the photographs, that the selection was to be made from. We can work out the cost for any proposal that you have. In the UK cost are far lower of course.
Wildlife topics are hard to work out in advance by the above method, as we don't know how long or how many visits it will take so we just work out what we think an average would be given the situation and requirements.
Non specific sponsoring is also available, this is where you have a general type of image that you would like to sponsor and then there are two parts to the sponsorship, firstly a cost in us looking through and selecting a number of images that we feel meets this need, and secondly a specific sponsorship cost assigned to each.
Additionally you can if you wish, sponsor specific adverts to promote the images/editions that you have sponsored.
Benefits
There are many others and we can sort out with you which ones apply in your case.
Sponsoring for Profit
You can if you wish also sponsor in order to make profit, in this case, sponsorship cost would be similar but often involve several images in a series to maximise your return, but instead of getting the above benefits you would get:-
You might for example decide that you feel that a series of editions based on bears catching salmon would sell particularly well. The costs involved in this sponsorship would include the cost of going to get the images, which are predictable in this case, and an agreed schedule involved in advertising the editions.
To start this off suggest the image or subject that you would like to sponsor and we will produce initially an approximate cost of sponsorship and lay out in more detail the potential returns to you.
Collections
An alternative to the above sponsorship is forming a collection.
Collections are selected across editions and not in addition to these, and can start off as a set defined and paid for number and an agreed number that will be purchased over an agreed time frame. Normally the number paid for at the start should be at least 20% of the total collection.
For example you could make a collection based on starting with 15 framed images and agreeing that you would expand the collection by purchasing 50 more over the next 6 months.
Depending on the size of the collection, we will either give you an agreed discount, or extra works. We will quote you a discount or free image allowance for any proposal that you are considering, we don't publish a table here as we don't want to show your incentives being offered as a defined lower cost to you.
So who might use this
Examples of business applications.
An Estate agent wants to get more listings, so offers a work or choice of works, to all who list their home for sale with them exclusively. They could for example offer a direct choice from the images they have initially obtained or another from the website.
A company wants to cut self cert sickness absences, (hangover days) and if a person works for a month, with no days off except with a doctors note, they get a certificate, and if they collect 3 or more consecutive certificates they get a work of art where the larger the number the larger or more valuable the image is. The initial collection is hung around the offices as people know just how good they are, and can be selected from or they can select from the website. Staff days off unnecessarily can be both expensive and cause a lot of stress and problems for others who are at work.
A company wants to recruit good staff in an area where its difficult to do so, so they provide a scheme where those who introduce others can get works of quality art.
A magazine wants to move telesales up a notch, so they introduce a game where each new sale creates a number of points, perhaps, getting a completely new customer on a year contract gets 10 points, upgrading the size of ads to a regular customer 5 points and getting a one off sale 3 points etc. at the end of each month, the monthly winner gets to select a work of art, while the winner over the whole year gets a larger prize perhaps an all expenses Caribbean holiday.
Another solution for those who like the idea of a promotion but where the scale of a collection or sponsorship is too large, could consider utilising the Gift voucher we offer that can be used either for works of art or to get training to be able to take quality photographs.
